No negative marking. Conducted by BFSI Sector Skill Council of India (BFSI SSC) — you take it from your own camera-enabled device.
Bank decides cut-off marks separately. Merit list is drawn state-wise based on online test score.

12 common questions answered
**No.** This is a 1-year apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961. The Bank has **no obligation to offer regular employment** during or after the apprenticeship — clauses (iii) and (xv) of the Terms (PDF §10) make this explicit. You are a trainee, not a worker, for the duration.
**No.** The PDF (§2.1) explicitly states *No Negative marking*. Attempt every question — there is no penalty for wrong answers. Calculators are not permitted.
**No.** Your graduation marksheet date must not be prior to **01-04-2022**. Anyone who completed graduation more than 4 years before the 01-04-2026 cut-off is ineligible — this 4-year cap is a hard rule (PDF §1.3).
**No.** Your graduation **result must be declared on or before 01-04-2026**. Awaited-result candidates cannot apply. Provisional certificates issued before 01-04-2026 are accepted, but the underlying result must already be declared.
**No.** The notification does not stipulate a minimum aggregate percentage — any pass-class graduate with a recognised degree qualifies. Note the Bank's percentage rule: 59.99% is treated as 59% (fractions are ignored, not rounded up).
**No — apply for one state only.** If you submit multiple applications, only the last valid one is retained, and fees paid for earlier registrations are forfeited (PDF §11). You must also be proficient in the local language listed for that state — see the State-wise Vacancy table.
**No.** Anyone who has completed apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961 — at Union Bank or **any other organisation** — is barred. The same rule applies if you're currently undergoing apprenticeship anywhere or were previously terminated from one (PDF §10.i, §10.vi).
Selected candidates must produce a **Class 10 or 12 marksheet** showing they studied the state's specified local language. If you can't produce that, the Bank conducts a separate proficiency test covering reading, writing, speaking and understanding — failing this disqualifies you from engagement (PDF §2.2).
It depends on **the branch you're allotted to**, not your home address. Rural / Semi-Urban branches pay Rs. 15,000, Urban branches Rs. 18,000, and Metro (Mumbai/Delhi/Kolkata/Chennai/Bengaluru/Hyderabad) Rs. 20,000. Allotment is at the Bank's sole discretion — there's no way to elect a tier.
**No.** Apprentices are not entitled to any other allowance, PF, ESI, bonus, transport, or hostel facility. The monthly stipend is the only payment, paid at the end of each month after adjusting for unauthorised absence (PDF §5.ii, §10.x).
**Yes**, for this notification, fee category is based on your central-list reservation status, not state domicile. Apply with your central-list category certificate. Note: OBC creamy-layer candidates must apply as Unreserved and pay the General fee.
Wait 2–3 working days for the bank settlement before re-paying. Log back in at beep.bfsissc.com/candidate_login and re-initiate from there. **Do NOT raise a chargeback** with your card-issuing bank — the e-receipt is emailed only on successful payment, and the helpline (apprentice@unionbankofindia.bank.in or info@bfsissc.com) is the route for any payment dispute.
