Fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable. ESM who have already secured Group C/D civil employment after availing ESM reservation are not eligible for this fee concession. Correction charges apply to all candidates regardless of gender/category.

200 Q / 200 marks / 2 hrs. Negative marking 0.25. Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks (UR 30% / OBC-EWS 25% / Others 20%).
10-min dictation at 100 wpm (Grade C) / 80 wpm (Grade D), transcribed on computer. Qualifying in nature — the Commission fixes category-wise qualifying standards.
Based on CBT merit + candidate's post/department preferences, under the sliding mechanism notified by SSC vide Notices dated 03-03-2026 and 08-04-2026.

Appointment on two-year probation. Candidates must acquire proficiency in the local language of the allotted State/UT/Zone as required by the User Office.
Go to ssc.gov.in and register. The old ssc.nic.in OTR does not carry over — a fresh OTR is needed on the new site. Aadhaar-based authentication is recommended (waives photo/signature format rejections).

Category claim is fixed — a candidate rejected on their claimed category will not be considered under any other category. Choose PwBD sub-category carefully (no later changes).
Also opt for the Skill Test language (English or Hindi) and three exam centre preferences in order of priority. Centre/language cannot be changed later.
